A properly serviced instrument can help you realise your full musical potential!

At Crowthers we have expert on-site repairers with extensive experience from major woodwind instrument manufacturers.

Our workshop caters for a wide variety of repair and servicing requirements from minor adjustments up to full overhauls. Some repairs maybe able to be carried out on the spot, such as recorking of tenons and crooks, however it is always best to ring first if possible.  We have looked after instruments for leading musicians such as Nicholas Daniel (oboe), Alison Teale (oboe and cor anglais, BBC Symphony), James Turnbull (oboe).John Harle (saxophone), Paul Booth (saxophone),and John Surman (saxophone).

We are regularly asked to undertake work for schools around the country and regularly attend  events countrywide.

We recommend your instrument is serviced annually to keep it in best playing order. We are happy to provide a detailed assessment free of charge, and we will recommend a course of action to get the best result.

All instruments are thoroughly checked in our workshop prior to being offered for sale, and we offer a free six month service on all new instruments, and provide a service record with 10% loyalty discount on all servicing and repairs for the instrument’s life.

You are welcome to visit the shop with your instrument, however we are also happy to accept instruments for service or repair by post.

Please let us know in advance if you would like to do this.
